Wills Lifestyle, ITC’s premium fashion brand, announced that renowned jewellery designer and one of the most active celebrity on Twitter Farah Khan Ali is the ‘Wills Twitter Face’ at the forthcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, India’s foremost fashion and trade event on March 15, 2010.

Wills Lifestyle has initiated this association with @FarahKhanAli to explore the platform of new age media to engage with the patrons of WIFW in an interesting fashion.  It is an effort taken towards striking an instant connect with its patrons and followers of the fashion week. Recognizing the growing popularity of Twitter in India and especially of @FarahKhanAli on this platform, Wills Lifestyle decided to take on board @FarahKhanAli as the ‘Wills Twitter Face’ to cover the event for this medium.

In the last edition of WIFW, for the very first time in the world, celebrity – @GulPanag had tweeted directly from the event venue on the on-goings of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. She attended all the fashion shows and tweeted pictures of the ramp show and her at the fashion week which created a lot of buzz on Twitter.

@FarahKhanAli will be present at the venue on all five action-packed days to review the shows and tweet on the daily dose of fashion week news. She will connect with her followers (which are more than 13000) and share her views on the ramp shows, upload pictures of the event and respond to tweets. Wills Lifestyle, ITC’s premium fashion brand, announced that Rajesh Pratap Singh will be the designer for Wills Lifestyle Grand Finale at the forthcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, Asia’s biggest and India’s premiere fashion & trade event on March 05,2010 at ITC Maurya.

Wills Lifestyle further strengthens its association with the internationally applauded designer as this is the second time that Rajesh Pratap Singh is the Wills Lifestyle Grand Finale Designer. This season the two pioneers in style and innovation once again come together to set new benchmarks in creativity and fashion.

The grand finale collection called ‘Bespoke Tales’ is inspired by the evolution of making of clothes and will showcase new experiments with textiles, shapes and colours. Rajesh Pratap Singh will also create an exclusive collection for Wills Lifestyle inspired by the grand finale theme that will be retailed from Wills Lifestyle stores across the country in September 2010.

On December 4, 2009, she presented her collection in Crown Plaza, Gurgaon. Her collection had different work of surface ornamentation. Although I’m little doubtful about the silhouettes what she has used in some of the garments which are little unpractical when seen at Indian kaleidoscope.  Rest the collection is one the good examples in Indo-western fusion.

His collections have been presented worldwide and have been recognized with many international awards. He has been named as the ‘designer of the year ‘six year in a row by VIP magazine (Romania), in addition to numerous other fashion awards around the world.

Katrina told press spokesmen at a press meet on Oct 28, 2009 at Wills India Fashion Week, “Ranbir and I are both great friends with Rohit. We will walk the ramp for the first time together for his show to promote our film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani ,”

Katrina added,” She actually likes his collection very much”.  As reported earlier, these celebrities were supposed to be present at Rohit Bal’s show. So, Katrina and Ranbir were present to promote their above said movie. When asked by a media spokesman about Rohit Bal’s show, Katrina replied, “ Even if I were not present for the movie promotion, I’d rather be present at Grand Finale for Rohit at WIFW”.

This is the best of  Wills India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring Summer 2010 as Sanjana has gathered many celebrities to hug appreciation and popularity.

The long-awaited debut is a collection of the second day of WIFW as Sanjana and Salman  were walking the ramp, along with brother Sohail and other celebrities, like Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, singer Shibani Kashyap, beautiful Riya and Raima Sen, Ustad Amjad Ali’s sons Aman and Ayan. I remembered Tania Sachdev and boxers Vijender Kumar and Jitender Kumar last night on the Wills India Week’s ramp.

According to Sanjana, the theme of the show was to focus saving the ‘girlism’.Thanking Salman and Sohail, Vijender and Jitender for agreeing to walk the ramp. Sanjana appealed, “They are all my like-siblings. I am thankful to them for providing support to the cause that I’m through the promotion of the show. ” The overall collection passes a message to the human community for brotherhood and respecting family values. Sanjana’s inspiration for this group derives from the basics of humanity, and the family. Indian culture traditionally thrives on the family as a unit with deepest value of family and the power of love between siblings. Salman represents the best of the Indian families, including family values and the power of love between brothers.

After long time Ritu Beri is back into action on Oct 24^th at WIFW SS’10. Her collection is for the cultivated dresser who goes beyond predicting looks to populate her USP.

Abhay, the showstopper was dressed in a pair of jeans, crisp shirt paired with a black waistcoat and black hat looked hot with graceful Ritu Beri. When she was asked about the showstopper Abhay Deol, she replied, ‘He wasn’t my showstopper. He walked because he is a good friend. But there really is no one like Abhay – he is so cool, so himself, just so unaffected by anything around him, totally relaxed and adventurous. There’s no one better I could have brought.’

Her collection represents freedom, independence and individuality. Somehow you can see a masculine look in feminine figure and that’s what her collection is all about.

Her color palette has vivid colors. It has subtle whites, khakis, grey, beize, and olive green, oceanic blue and subtle gold. Fabric section covers silk chiffon, georgettes, light weight jerseys and denims. The collection has many angles set for attraction like animal prints, tie and dyes, hand painted motifs, heavy sequined and pearl embroideries.

Again her collection is comprised of many silhouettes varying from body hugging silhouettes with cuts and curves, embroidered bra-top, jeans, off-shoulder dresses to cat suits.

When correspondent turned to Abhay, he answered, ‘I am a great admirer of Ritu’s work, and her clothes are fashionable yet very comfortable. I quite enjoyed walking the ramp,’ he said after the show.

Shadow of the lotus, poppies, peonies, magnolias are excited to be competing for attention, delicious contrast with the colors of the water and the fresh new leaves in spring.

Wendell Rodricks is known for eco-friendly resort wear designer. Indian Guru of minimalism brought the  ‘Cubist Collection’ in Wills India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010(WIFW).

His collection speaks of modernity and visionary translation of the original artists cubism at the beginning of the century.

The sole  prints in the collection features sea horses spray edged cubic ‘bubbles’ in the water. He weaves together the finest linen gauze, Georgettes as light as a cloud, with eco butter soft viscose fabric and silk to create a line of garments that move with the wind. The silhouette is composed of shirts, over shirts, dresses, skirts and palazzo pants to transform an interesting drapes, layers and pleats. The color palette includes his signature white, azure blue, red earth, Indian orange and fuchsia pink. Wendell Rodrick treated  famous silhouette, fabric and styling.  Wendell Rodrick’s  cubist collection is an excellent collection for the opening montage WLIFW Spring / Summer 10.
